Exo 15:26 saying, "If you will diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, your healer."
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.
Psa 103:3 who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,
Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
Mat 9:35 And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction.
Mat 10:1 And he called to him his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every affliction.
Mar 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues;
Mar 16:18 they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."
The whole Bible is a record of signs and miracles performed by God. The Old Testament tells how the LORD, the Holy Father, heal His people. In the New Testament, the four gospels talk about Jesus, the Holy Son, healing the sick. And the Acts of the apostles mentions how the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, descended from heaven after the ascension of Christ and did even greater miracles through the Christians. The early church had such transcendental powers because the apostles’ teachings were always confirmed by God’s miracles. With these miracles, unbelievers would come to know this living Christ and turn away from heresies.
God’s salvation is complete; it saves both man’s soul and body. This salvation lasts forever. Salvation and healing are inseparable, just as God and His words are inseparable. Therefore we must accept the gospel and the Bible (the word of God) in their entirety. We should NOT doubt any portion of the Bible.
Not only can believing in God’s healing release one from his physical sufferings, it can also help train one’s faith in God. When one’s faith grows firmer, he will receive more abundant grace from Him. And faith comes from hearing the word. Let me give some examples to testify to the truth of divine healing so that you may have a better understanding of God’s healing and may gain a greater faith in Him.
First, we must know that most sufferings and sickness come from devil and sins. Yet God allows sicknesses to befall us out of His love and sincerity. He wants to test and train us so that we may be edified. Satan’s plots and attacks often help to fulfil the good will of God.
Rom 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
Jer 29:11 If we deal with our sins, God is always willing and able to heal all our sicknesses and save us from all sufferings (provided our appointed time of death has not yet come). He said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
